Turning #Japanese again

Sunday was a day I revisited my Japanese “roots”. On the way to and from Laiya, we were playing Japanese music in the car. 4/5 were into Japanese music so for the first time, people didn’t ask me to change the music! My dream of going on a road trip while listening to Japanese music finally came true!

When we got back to Makati, it was but apt to eat Japanese for dinner. Nihonbashitei was fully packed, so we went to nearby Isshin instead. Isshin is cheaper but servings are also relatively small compared to Nihonbashitei. At least they have free ice cream for desserts!

I also enjoyed the cappuccino…made from Japanese coffee. Or not. Haha.

And because we wanted to sing more Japanese songs, we went to Wako after! I missed Wako! I used to go there a lot back when I had JPOP friends. We’d sing anime and JPOP songs on weekend afternoons.

We had a bit of trouble looking for the songs because the new ones were on the monthly booklets so finding them was hard! Also because this was a spontaneous thing, we weren’t really prepared with lyrics or list of songs we wanted to sing. Next time we’ll be more prepared!

I couldn’t say it out loud but I’m glad to have found new friends who share the same interest in Japanese music. It’s hard to find people who share this interest, and others just look at you like some weirdo for listening to music they don’t understand. I can’t wait for the next Japanese karaoke session! I’ll try to update myself with new songs in the meantime. 🙂

Ja mata! ^^
