I thought my Spotify Wrapped for 2021 would be a bit more diverse vs. last year as I tried to listen to more artists, playlists, and even more Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Alas, to my surprise, it’s pretty much the same as last year with my Top 5 songs occupied by just one artist. (Take a guess before scrolling down?)

Out of my 23,100 minutes of streaming on Spotify, Higedan took up 7.8%. Ok, perhaps that improved vs last year (when I probably listed to them 50% of the time).

Here’s the rest of my top artists. John Mayer making it there is a surprise! I remember binge-listening to his discography for two weeks, though.

It’s obvious what my top genre is. No explanation needed. I’m happy OPM is now my Top 2! I’ve been listening to a lot of new Filipino artists and I’ll post about them soon here!

Spotify is my favorite music streaming platform. And I really love how they’re able to give us a summary of our year in music! Songs are one of my means of saving memories. Next year will probably see a different artist dethrone Higedan on top, but that would depend if they release new (good) music! Haha.
