Tayo na sa #Antipolo / Daybreak at #Fort

Last Friday, we went on a roadtrip to Antipolo to de-stress with the cold weather and a great view of Manila lights. We didn’t really know how to get there so we turned Waze on, inputted Padi’s Point Antipolo as destination, and we were on our way.

My last memories of this part of the metro were a visit to Antipolo on my first year in Manila, as well as a few visits to my previous manager’s place in Marikina. So, it felt like my first time there and I would like to explore that place more frequently in the future.

Going back, we got to Padi’s Point without getting lost along the way. It wasn’t as cold as I expected (at least not as cold as Tagaytay), but the view of Manila from up there, despite the haze is splendid. My photo won’t do justice. It reminded me of the view of Metro Cebu from TOPS!

Most of us haven’t had dinner yet so we ordered some spicy wings, a serving of Crispy Pata, nachos, and some drinks!

I was also reunited with this beer after the longest time! Haha.

The place was perfect for “emo” moments, you know, those times when you just feel like looking back at the past, how you’ve lived your life, and how you plan to continue living it in the future?  Example:

After satisfying our tummies and eyes (with the view), we took one more photo outside (ok, I took one more photo of them) to remember this moment by. And it’s a super grainy photo because of poor lighting.

We wanted to have coffee somewhere along the way but we couldn’t find a 24-hour coffee shop. So, we ended up at Starbucks in the Fort. Last time I’ve been there, they were closed at 3-4 AM (about the same time Mercato closes), but hey were open when we got there!

Ralph had to meet his family at a bus stop in EDSA at around 6 in the morning so we decided to wait it out. We talked about a lot of things I don’t recall anymore because of my poor memory (remind me to blog about things before sleeping next time).  The sun was out so we thought of driving Anna home and get to EDSA just in time.

I’m not usually awake at this time of the day, so I saw the Fort in a refreshing new light that I had to take a few shots with my iPhone.

Ruth drove all the way to Anna’s place, and then I drove back to EDSA, and finally to Makati.

And since the sun was already up, I had no problem going to sleep! It was a fun and memorable Friday evening/early morning with FR friends!
