#ELBI Tour – St. Marc’s Chapel
Last Tuesday was declared a holiday, so Debbie invited us for a tour around her alma mater, the University of the Philippines – Los Baños (UPLB) in Laguna. Our plan was to tour the campus area and have a nice picnic. It rained when we got there but luckily, it stopped just in time for our picnic!
Together with FR and Bisdak friends combined, we left Makati at around 8 in the morning and got to Los Baños at around 10.
Our first stop was the chapel where Regine and Aga shot a scene for the movie “Pangako Ikaw Lang” – St. Marc’s Chapel. We didn’t exactly know where it was so we counted on Waze to lead us there – however, Waze did not have enough detailed information that we got lost and went back and forth several time. It wasn’t easy because the road was steep and there were a lot of sharp curves. Considering it was raining, I really had to drive carefully and safely!
Finally, we found out that the chapel was located inside the National Art Institute area, within the Boys Scout Camp in Makiling. All the effort in getting here was forgotten because the place was so serene and breathtaking.
It’s a small chapel, surrounded by lush trees and plants – a perfect place for meditation, soul searching, and reflection.
This is Goldy (an Innova), FR’s official transportation. 🙂 This is Bibe, Goldy’s twin & back-up. Haha.
I shall end this post with a video from the movie Pangako Ikaw Lang featuring the chapel. My pictures didn’t do justice! I miss taking photos with my DSLR. But enough of that, what better way to entice you to visit than this? Haha. You can skip to 6:08 to see the chapel scene.

I personally haven’t seen the movie, but because of all the effort in getting there, I had to look up the clip on YouTube.
Up next – lunch!
